At an early age, Gary realized that his goal in life was to become a carpenter. While other kids were using their imagination with toys, Gary was using his with pieces of wood donated to him from local construction sites. This passion for carpentry resulted in Gary receiving the ‘Brass Cannon Award’ in his graduating year of High School for achieving top marks in Construction class. He later went on to College for a Commerce program and then attended University for Business Administration.
After University, Gary’s desire to pursue a career in Carpentry began to realize when he enrolled into the Carpentry Apprenticeship Program. He completed the program ahead of schedule (in 3 years) and received his Carpentry Red Seal Trade Certification in the Spring of 1993 (the highest level of certification available to Canadian carpenters).
Today, Gary and 2HC have not only gained the unique reputation of tackling various small jobs on a professional level, but has also grown to include small renovations for all home- and business- owners alike.
